Marriott has a new Status Challenge available that will help you get special treatment at Marriott, Starwood and Ritz Carlton portfolio hotels. Marriott Members can call Marriott (801-468-4000) or SPG (888-625-4988) and enroll in the challenge to earn Gold or Platinum Status. Here’s the two Marriott Status Challenges and requirements:

• Earn Marriott Gold after staying 8 nights in 90 days
• Earn Marriott Platinum after staying 16 nights in 90 days

Make sure you enroll before booking anything. And it’s best to get some kind of confirmation that your enrollment is complete. Also keep in mind that Marriott Members may only participate in one status challenge every 3 years.
