Free Burrito From Chipotle!

Chipotle, the fast-casual Mexican food chain, is closed today until 3 p.m. for a companywide safety briefing after outbreaks of norovirus and E. coli sickened customers last year.

Employees and customers alike may finally get an explanation from Chipotle regarding how E. coli and norovirus outbreaks occurred at its restaurants last year. Executives promised to overhaul the company’s food-safety standards and at an investor conference last month, Mark Crumpacker, chief creative and development officer, said people would get “a detailed story about what happened.”

But the closings might have ruined your lunch plans and to make up for that, Chipotle is offering a free burrito. If you like living on the edge, you can get the free burrito by texting “RAINCHECK” TO 888-222 today between 11:00AM and 6:00PM Eastern Standard Time.

Once you send your text, you will receive a link. Fill out first name, last name and zip and you’ll receive confirmation in the next page that you’ll get your coupon in a few days.
