Ebates has a double cashback promotion going on this weekend for in-store purchases. The Ebates in-store cash back feature is easy to use. You just link your card, load the offer and the use that card to shop in-store and you automatically receive the advertised cashback rate.

Double Cash Back Stores

This promotion includes many popular merchants, but two of them stand out as Mark notes at Miles to Memories. Office Depot/Max and Bed Bath & Beyond both have doubled cashback rates in store. Office Depot/Max cashback rate has been increased from 3% to 6% and Bed Bath & Beyond from 2% to 4%. The reason that these two stores are singled out is that they both sell a wide variety of gift cards. You can see the full list of stores here.

If you have an Office Depot/Max location near you, the this could be a tremendous offer. You can earn 5X Ultimate Rewards with a Chase Ink Plus/Cash card and then this 6% cashback rate from Ebates on top of that. You can choose either Visa Gift Cards or third party gift cards like Amazon. Either path is profitable.

Saks 5th Avenue cashback rate has also been doubled from 4% to 8%. If you haven’t used your Amex Offers yet, this weekend would be a great time to do so.

A warning. Gift card purchases are excluded in the terms, but they have triggered the cashback in the past. Also do not go wild on this deal. You could get shutdown from Ebates.
