Discover Savings, $150 Bonus for Existing Customers

Discover usually has a signup bonus of $200, and possibly $500 right now, for its savings account. This bonus is only for new, first-time customers.

But if you already have an account, you can also get a bonus of up to $150 for depositing new money. This offer is targeted and was sent out by email. Subject line is “[Name], get up to $150 for making a deposit”.

Here are the details:

• Deposit $10k in new money by 5/31 and keep a $10k average daily balance until 7/30 for a $100 bonus.
• Deposit $15k in new money by 5/31 and keep a $15k average daily balance until 7/30 for a $150 bonus.

This is not a huge bonus, but it’s still worth doing if you have the money. This account currently earns a 1.8% APY. With the added bonus, you would get an extra 6% for two months.
