American Express Enhances Referral Program, Now You Can Refer People for Any Card

American Express has made some major changes to its referral program. Previously they started allowing people to refer others to any card in the same family of cards. Now it seems that they are allowing you to refer other to any Amex card. Here’s just a few of the referral offers that show up through my Amex Platinum referral link.

To access all other cards through a referral link, you need to scroll down to the bottom of the page. There you should see the option to select different categories of cards that you want to apply for, such as:

  • All personal cards
  • Business cards
  • Travel cards
  • Reards Points cards
  • No FX fee cards
  • Cash back cards
  • No Annual Fee cards
  • 0% Intro APR cards

This makes it much easier to maximize your referral bonuses every year. You will probably get the regular referral bonus that applies to your own card, regardless of what card your friend applies and is approved for. Even the new 50K offer for the Amex Gold card is showing up.
